Taking New Zealand Children’s illustrators to the world

In 2020, the Publishers Association of New Zealand (PANZ) will showcase New Zealand’s illustrating talent at the Bologna Children's Book Fair, bigger and better than ever before. The freshly designed PANZ stand will display Painted Stories, a stunning exhibition of local illustrating talent curated by Gavin Bishop. The exhibition will be presented on a freshly designed stand and will also include a display of recent award winning New Zealand children’s books. Mātātuhi Foundation seed funding will enable PANZ to publish an updated Painted Stories catalogue which presents information on each illustrators’ work and some key biographical and rights information. The catalogue is an important tool to help promote New Zealand children’s books to the world.
