Sharing our Stories
Two, half-day writing workshops, for young migrant and ESOL New Zealanders aged 15-25 years, were piloted over two weekends in September 2019. The principle aim of the workshops is to encourage young people to have a voice, share their stories and publish autobiographical and biographical pieces of short prose, poetry and nonfiction. A further aim is to develop a wider community of young New Zealand writers and readers, honouring cultures, connections and perspectives.
