Giving Voice to Aotearoa's South Asian Writers

Ruru Trust is pleased to receive funding from Mātātuhi Foundation to develop and publish new writing from women and minorities of South Asian* origin in Aotearoa who engage with caste issues, belong to minority religions or ethnicities, have indigenous whakapapa or identify as queer on a specially created digital platform. The selected writers will be mentored by award winning author Brannavan Gnanalingam.

*South Asia = Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
